{katie's ham & swiss sliders}
24 good white rolls, if you are in utah we like shirley's or judy's
24 pieces good honey ham
24 small slices swiss cheese
1/3 mayo
1/3 cup miracle whip
{poppy seed sauce}
1 1/2 TBSP poppy seeds
1 1/2 TBSP yellow mustard
1 stick butter, melted
1 TBSP minced onion
1/2 tsp. worschestershire sauce
in a small bowl, mix together mayo & miracle whip. spread into both sides of the center of each roll. place a slice of ham & a slice of swiss inside of each roll. close rolls & place into a large baking dish or heavy cookie sheet. place very close together.
in a medium bowl, whisk together all of the poppy seed sauce ingredients. pour evenly over all of the sandwiches. let sit 10 minutes, or until butter sets slightly. cover with foil & bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. uncover & cook for 2 additional minutes. serve warm.
** sandwiches can me assembled a day ahead & kept in the fridge ready to bake.

I don't like ham but these look really good. missed you. I'll be coming to town in a month with the new addition. let's get together.
these are always a big hit anywhere i serve them!
i made these for a baby blessing lunch and everyone LOVED them. they are amazing! stacia (my sister) suggested the recipe so thank you!
this recipe was originally found in the silver palate cookbook. check your sources!
miracle whip is poison.
just FYI anonymous... all the recipes are named after the person that brought them to recipe club. sorry you were so offended by that:) you don't have to read! we only want happy people!!!!
I'm visiting family in Utah this week and am so excited to make and share this recipe with my family. I'm ESPECIALLY excited to be able to find the recommended Shirley or Judy's rolls. Yum! Love your posts and appreciate ALL of the recommendations! Faithfully, ....an Orange County, CA reader!
i'm making these again for a shower. and i just want to say that anyone who posts under anonymous is too cowardly to stand by what they think... i'm just sayin...
Amazing!!! Thanks for the recipe! I can't stop eating these little yummy things!
I know why these are called sliders. Take one bite and the ham and cheese slide out from between the bread. We think it's because the miracle whip/mayo mixture is on both sides of the buns. Might try it again with a very thin layer of mayo on one side and the butter/mustard mixture on the other.
Greetings, I hope you don't mind, but I "pinned" this from your blog on Pinterest. There were so many recipes, so I went from blog to blog, wherever it said "Adapted from" and I wound up at yours as the original place! I hope you don't mind that I pinned (and people will see your blog), but if you do, please just email me and I will remove from Pinterest. (I'm sorry because I should have asked you in advance.) Thank you!
Best,
Gloria

what if you're not a miracle whip fan--are they still yummy without?
Kubby- yes, just use mayo. The sauce is the must have!
I was wondering if there was a smaller scale of these. I just wanted to make them for dinner for my family.
I'll bet you are a joy to be around in person. If you do not have something nice to say refrain from posting. No one wants your negativity.
How would I go about freezing these? Would I cook them as normal and then freeze them?
You don't know this person at all. This person could be a very nice person in real life. You're comments themself are very negative and nasty just like her comments.
